These are proactive services designed to lessen the chances of system outages or performance degradation.  Once again, these are policies and procedures implemented as normal operational procedures in large organisations, but unfortunately are often overlooked or neglected completely in smaller organisations.  They are nevertheless important activities that need to be attended to on a regular basis.  Neglecting to do so could spell disaster down the track.

Types of services we offer,

• System health check and review.

• Server cabinet and rack maintenance.

We offer a comprehensive System Health Check service on your server systems.  This service involves,

• Checking and reporting on recently generated system logs and alerts.

• Generating performance monitoring reports.

• Generating systems security and permissions reports.

• Generating disk usage and capacity planning reports.

We then sit down with you to discuss the results of these reports, as well as discussing what appropriate actions need to be taken.

Server cabinet and rack maintenance is designed to ensure that your systems will not be affected by overheating caused by blocked heatsinks or fans.  Unless your servers are housed in a tier 1 data centre, chances are after 12-months of continual operation, the heatsinks, power supplies and fans are probably chock-a-block full of dust.  This dust restricts airflow thus resulting in higher ambient temperatures inside the server and higher risk of system failure.
